How the Pact Coffee referral works

Pact is a subscription roaster rather than a shop: you tell it how you brew and how often you drink coffee, and it posts freshly roasted beans or ground coffee to you on that schedule. The referral halves the cost of the first delivery, which is the sensible way to find out whether the coffee is worth it before committing to anything.

1. Open the referral link. The voucher JOSH-844F85 travels with it — Pact confirms "offer applied" on the signup page, so there is nothing to type.
2. Build your plan. Regular or decaf, your brew method, the coffee you want and how often you want it. Weekly, fortnightly and monthly are all options.
3. Check out with 50% off. The discount comes off the first order automatically. Later deliveries are full price.
4. Set the frequency honestly, then forget about it. You can skip, pause, bring forward or cancel from your account whenever you like.

For a sense of scale, here is my own first order: a 1kg bag of Bourbon Cream Filter at £31.84, which the referral discount took down to £15.92. The subscription bit, honestly

This is a subscription offer, not a one-off discount code, and that deserves saying plainly. The 50% applies to your first delivery only — everything after that is charged at Pact's normal prices, on the schedule you picked at signup. That is fine if you drink the coffee, and annoying if it quietly stacks up in a cupboard.

Two things make it low-risk:

• There is no minimum term. You can cancel from your account dashboard straight after the discounted order if the coffee is not for you. No phone call, no retention script.
• You get warning before every delivery. Pact emails 48 hours before an order ships, and you can change, delay, skip or cancel it up until midnight the day before dispatch. Set a reminder from that email and you will never be surprised by a charge.

My honest advice: pick the longest gap between deliveries at signup. It is far easier to bring an order forward when you run out than to keep skipping coffee you did not need.

What you actually get
